Auditory Sensitivity of Sparrows

Auditory sensitivity ranging from 2.0 kHz up to 8.0 kHz. above 8 kHz. The auditory sensitivity rate falls about 70dB/octave.

The reason behind to Evanish sparrows.

  •  Rapid changes in the lifestyles of humans in urban areas are increasingly incompatible with the conservative lifestyles of sparrows.
  •   Non-availability of tiny insects as food for sparrows due to loss of vegetation around our modern buildings.
  •     Reason for the dislocation of sparrows is due to excessive usage of mosquito repellents indoors and insecticides outdoors, our concrete architecture’s with no nesting sites and usage of air-conditioning which disallow sparrows to enter or exit points.
  •    Increases in noise from automobiles, produces high-frequency birds are sensitive enough to control the frequency. Along with noise rapid air pollution coming out from automobiles.
  •   Mainly high usage of electromagnetic radiations from cell phone towers outdoors and the explosive use of diverse wireless devices.
  •  Due to this synergetic effect of environmental pollutants has compelled sparrows to fly away from human companions.

Since the disappearances of  sparrows were included in the IUCN Red List of Threatened species in the U.K and from 2010; March 20 has been adopted as a world sparrow day. In 2012, Delhi adopted the House sparrow as its state bird.
